Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology presented the certification and HALAL trophy to Global Food Industries for its frozen food manufacturing division at Gulfood Dubai, UAE, February 8th, 2015: Global Food Industries (GFI), part of the Albatha Group has been awarded HALAL trophy and HALAL certification from Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) during the Gulfood exhibition. Global Food Industries is the first Frozen Food manufacturing company in the UAE that has been awarded such a certification from ESMA. GFI would be the first company to use the UAE \u2018Halal Mark\u2019 on their packaging. ESMA was established as the sole standardization body in the UAE under the Law No. 28\/2001.<\/p>\n
After awarding the HALAL trophy to GFI, HE Dr. Rashid Ahmed Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, chairman of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, said that, “The launch of the national brand for Halal comes within the UAE system requirements for the control of halal products. The national brand of Halal adopted by the Commission is awarded to products conforming to the requirements of \u2018Emirati control system\u2019 of halal products.<\/p>\n
